Introduction to the Role- Relationship Manager (Commercial Banking Group)

The relationship manager is responsible for communicating and making a positive impact with the clients. They are obliged to achieve standard budgeted targets set by the organization. This is generally done by channelising these targets by sourcing NTB business and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The manager has to do some post sanction tasks/ formalities like cross-sell, disbursement, internal audit issues, and compliance with statutory. The person in this position also have to generate reports on industry specific feedback to the Geography and Central Office team.

Commercial Banking Group (CBG)

CBG is a group which provides products, solutions and services to the One Axis clients with a turnover of Rs.  10 crore and Rs. 250 crores. The solutions are provided in the form of forex, cash management, payments, trade and tax payments. It also offers in retail products such as salary, trust services, commercial cards, credit cards, etc.

Responsibilities: 

  • Generation of leads by recognising potential areas, trading units and making strategies increase bank reach in those areas.
  • Handling internal channels like branches or other business verticals and external channels such as empanelled outsourced agencies.
  • Enabling the process of sanction by implementing and scrutiny of pre-disbursement activities.
  • Coordinating with the corporate banking operations team and centralized processing unit to make sure that the process of sanction gets smoothens, opening of account and disbursement.
  • Fulfilling customer service requirements by regularly interacting, understanding business environments and finding opportunities.
  • Checking and reviewing customers account for making sure that cash flow goes right and end use of funds to meet sanction stipulations.
  • Assisting the Credit manager for inspecting units and routinely renewal of insurance, DP updated, stock renewal statement scrutiny and collecting market-related information.
  • Maintaining the quality and health of the portfolio. Reducing the Days Past Due by regularly communicating with customers.
  • By the method of tele-calling/ field visits implementing stressed accounts.
  • Complying with stipulated guidelines/ norms and ensure closure to the audit processes.
