The Indian Navy is offering a wonderful opportunity for unmarried male and female candidates to get enrolled for Permanent Commission (PC) as well as Short Service Commission (SSC) in various branches. The recruitment is for the course, which is scheduled to commence in June 2025 (AT 25) at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for the Indian Navy SSC Officers Recruitment 2024, applicants need to bear the following eligibility:
Age Limit
The age criteria for the post varies with the branch chosen:
- General Service [GS (X) / Hydro Cadre], Logistics and Technical Branch: The candidate should have been born between or after 2nd July 2000 and on or before 1st January 2006.
- Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO) and Pilot: The candidate should have been born on 02 July 2001–01 July 2006.
- Education Branch: The candidate should have been born between 2nd July 2000 and on or before 1st July 2004.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should hold a degree of B.E. / B.Tech / MBA / B.Sc / B.Com / MCA / M.Sc. with a minimum percentage of 60% marks from a recognized university. The particular qualification requirements may differ on the basis of the branch you seek to apply for.
Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Officers of the Indian Navy comprises the following stages:
- Written Test: Candidates applying for a particular branch may be required to pass a written test.
- SSB Interview: Those candidates of the remaining 50 candidates will be invited for the SSB (Service Selection Board) Interview who have been shortlisted for that particular process.
- Document Verification: Candidates have to show original documents as well as photocopies to the verification officer.
- Medical Examination: A complete medical examination of the candidate will be done to check the fitness of the candidate to serve in naval operations.
Pay Scale
The pay scale for the superannuated candidates will be in accordance with the Indian Navy Rules regarding Employment. Exact salary and allowances will be paid only after UAN issuance.
