What a mid-range SUV with decent handling? Before BMW even started building an SUV the idea was on the verge of laughter but the BMW X3 was a bad treat and both of them.
The X3 has attractive driver drives, even if the smaller diesel offerings may appear wet when pressed. Admittedly, the X3 xDrive30e PHEV plug-in might not shine as dynamically as its conventional drive competitors but in all other areas, the X3 is the winner and is second only to the Audi Q5. Standard equipment is a bit tedious at some trim levels, but the perceived quality of the car is higher than almost all others and it’s hard to blame its behavior on the road, even on flat tires.
